Authorities at the Adansi Odumasi Health Centre have made a strong appeal to government and stakeholders to provide a standby power plant to ensure uninterrupted healthcare delivery.

The facility’s Senior Physician Assistant, Jabiuk Jabgben Francis, said frequent power challenges continue to disrupt critical services, posing risks to patient care and potentially endangering lives.

He stressed that a reliable power source is essential for the smooth operation of the facility, particularly in handling emergencies and maintaining proper medical procedures.

Speaking to Adom News, Mr. Francis noted that although recent improvements have been made at the facility, including support from individuals and community members, the absence of a dependable power supply remains a major challenge.

He explained that essential activities such as laboratory work, preservation of medical supplies, and general service delivery are often affected during outages, for which there’s urgent need for intervention.

The appeal was made by the facility’s Senior Physician Assistant, Jabiuk Jabgben Francis, during a donation exercise by philanthropist Christopher Asamoah, who presented a washing machine and other hospital items to the centre.

Speaking to Adom News, Mr. Francis explained that the facility previously relied on manual laundry, raising concerns about hygiene and the potential spread of infections. He noted that the donation would significantly improve sanitation but stressed that unreliable power supply remains a major challenge affecting service delivery.

He therefore called for the provision of a standby power plant to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services at the facility.

Also speaking at the event, the Regent and Bekumhene of Odumasi, Nana Kwantepinaa Kwamoa Bosompim, commended the philanthropist for his continued support and called on others to emulate his example.

He further appealed for additional assistance to improve healthcare delivery in the community.
