The Obra Show on Nhyira Fm has handed over a fully stocked provision shop to family of a 17- year-old mother who lost her son through hydrocephalus.

This is part of the radio station’s corporate social responsibility activities to ease the burden of the less fortunate in society.

The girl, together with his father, Kofi Appiah, who live at Kwaman Jeduako in the Sekyere Central District, appeared on the Obra Show to seek support for a surgical operation of her seven-month-old son who suffered hydrocephalus.

At the handing over of the shop, host of the Obra Show, Obaa Adwoa Nelson said the advocacy programme has among its goals the commitment to transform the lives of the needy.

“We don’t just discuss issues, but move forward to support and change lives,” she said.

Programs Director for Nhyira Fm, Benjamin Ocran, said the handing over of the provision shop will enable the family to support the girl’s education and also meet her needs to abstain from unhealthy relationships.
