The Chief of Kwawu Obomeng, Odeefour Effah Opinamang III, has officially cut the sod for the construction of an ultra-modern clinic for the Kwadwo Nkansah-Buabeng community in the Kwawu West Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The initiative is in response to the community’s long-standing lack of access to quality healthcare due to the absence of a nearby health facility.
With a population of over 2,000 residents, the area has struggled with basic health service delivery for years.
Speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony, Odeefour Opinamang III pledged to complete the project within three months.
He also appealed to the government to support the project by providing the necessary medical equipment once the clinic is completed.
The Kwawu West Municipal Health Director, Celestina Asante, lauded the chief’s effort, describing it as a timely and crucial intervention. She also called on the government and other stakeholders to assist in equipping the facility to ensure improved healthcare delivery in the community.
