Nsoromma Season 8 enters trial phase as 21 contestants battle for final 12

The latest season of Nsoromma has officially kicked off, introducing 21 young contestants eager to prove their talent and earn a place in the main competition.

This year’s hopefuls, aged between 7 and 14, comprise seven boys and 13 girls, all showcasing strong vocal abilities and stage confidence during their first performances.

The contestants are currently undergoing a trial phase, where they will participate in studio sessions to justify their inclusion in the competition. At the end of the week, only 12 will be selected to proceed, while nine will be eliminated.

The final 12 will then move on to compete in the official Season 8 contest.

The launch event featured thrilling performances from the contestants, each taking on popular Ghanaian songs.

Abena Sika Safowaa performed “Ndaadaa Me” by Oheneba Kissi, while Precious Baiden delivered “Zoblazo” by Meiway. Godson Ebenezer Addo performed “Maria” by Amakye Dede, and Jackline Gyanwa impressed with “Lomo Lomo” by KiDi.

Selorm Nuertey took on “Theresa” by Daddy Lumba, while Desmond Ankomah performed “Last Show” by Kofi Kinaata. Grace Acheampong also performed a Daddy Lumba classic, “Ankwanoma.”

Melinda Yayra Ahadzi performed “Odo Ben Ni” by Daasebre Gyamenah, while Nadia Sagoe thrilled with “Ashikele” by George Jahraa. Doris Dansoaa delivered “Asobrokye” by Dr Paa Bobo, and Perpetual Boafowaa performed “Obi Ate Meso Buo,” another Daddy Lumba classic.

Other performances included Alexis Oppong with “Akwankwaa” by Lee Dodou, Gideon Opoku Adomah with “Canopy” by Kuami Eugene, and Ellen Baidoo Okor with “Sisi Mame” by Adane Best.

Zion Anthony Abugri performed “Lobi” by R2Bees, while Prosper Ansah took on “Aketekyiwa” by Nana Tuffour. Joycelyn Nhyiraba performed “Akosombo Nkanea” by Obibini Takyi, and Benedicta Amoako delivered “San Bra” by Nana Ampadu.

Daniella Amankwaah performed “Vivian” by Wendy Shay, while Betty Naa Adjetey brought energy with “Sobolo” by Stonebwoy. Clifford Nkuah rounded off with “Baabi Dehyee” by Obuoba J.A. Adofo.

With strong performances and high anticipation, the stage is now set for a competitive season as the contestants battle for a place in the final 12.
