The National Service Authority (NSA) has dismissed claims that prospective national service personnel are being charged for “special postings” to preferred institutions, describing the reports as false and fraudulent.
In a statement, the NSA clarified that it does not charge for postings or repostings, nor does it offer preferential placements in exchange for money. The Authority emphasised that all deployments are conducted through a fully automated, transparent, and merit-based system in strict compliance with national service regulations.
“Any individual or entity soliciting fees for postings is acting fraudulently and should be reported immediately to the security agencies,” the statement warned.
Reaffirming its commitment to fairness and integrity in the posting process, the NSA assured the public that no unofficial arrangements or backdoor opportunities are sanctioned.
Addressing broader registration challenges, the Authority outlined support measures to assist prospective personnel facing documentation issues, such as discrepancies in names or dates of birth.
In collaboration with the National Identification Authority (NIA) and the Ghana Publishing Company, a dedicated help desk has been established at the NSA headquarters to resolve identity-related problems swiftly.
The NSA also negotiated a reduction in gazette service charges and partnered with the Ghana Publishing Company to introduce a digital gazette system. The new e-gazette platform, accessible via egazetteghana.com and ghanapublishing.gov.gh, provides a faster and more efficient process for applicants requiring gazette services.
To further enhance efficiency, specialised support desks have been set up across all regional NSA offices, with a dedicated IT desk at the headquarters. These desks became operational on Monday, December 8, 2025, and will remain open until the registration deadline on Friday, December 12, 2025. While regional offices will accommodate walk-ins, the head office will operate strictly by appointment to reduce waiting times.
Prospective personnel with unresolved issues may contact the NSA Call Centre or book a session via a designated Google form for either in-person or virtual support.
The Authority thanked applicants for their cooperation and urged the public to remain vigilant, warning against anyone attempting to exploit the system for illegal financial gain.
