The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced that its registration portal for the 2025/2026 national service year will officially close on Monday, December 22, after several deadline extensions aimed at ensuring all eligible graduates were accommodated.
In a statement issued on Sunday, December 21, the Authority said the decision brings to a close a 10-week registration exercise that began on October 8, alongside an eight-week validation period which commenced on October 29, 2025.
Both processes, the NSA noted, were extended multiple times to address challenges faced by prospective service personnel and to encourage maximum participation.
According to the Authority, shutting down the portal will allow it to finalise administrative databases, clean up deployment records, and ensure the timely processing of allowances.

It will also enable the NSA to proceed with critical parallel postings, including those of teachers and nurses, to support schools and health facilities nationwide.
The NSA highlighted what it described as unprecedented support measures introduced during the registration period, particularly for graduates affected by data inconsistencies between their academic records and Ghana Card details.
As part of these efforts, a dedicated support desk was set up at the NSA headquarters from October 10 to October 24, bringing together officials from the National Identification Authority (NIA) and the Ghana Publishing Company. This arrangement allowed affected individuals to resolve Ghana Card discrepancies and gazetting issues at a single location.
The Authority also disclosed that the Director-General negotiated a reduction in government gazette charges to ease the financial burden on personnel requiring amendments.
In addition, an electronic gazette platform was introduced in partnership with the Ghana Publishing Company, helping to digitise and speed up a process that had largely been manual.

Across the country, specialised technical and administrative help desks were activated at all 16 regional NSA offices, while a central IT and documentation helpdesk at the national headquarters became operational on December 8 to handle complex portal-related challenges.
Based on stakeholder feedback, the NSA further extended registration and validation timelines and issued regular updates through traditional media, social media platforms and press briefings.
Technical teams also worked closely with tertiary institutions and the NIA to cross-check graduate lists, identify data mismatches early and guide affected individuals through resolution processes.
In what it described as a final compassionate measure, the Authority announced a last grace period for individuals who initiated but could not complete their validation due to documented technical or administrative challenges.
This final window, authorised by the Director-General, Ruth Dela Seddoh, will be handled strictly on a case-by-case basis through regional NSA offices.
Affected individuals are required to present all relevant documentation, including proof of their initial validation attempt, on or before Monday, December 22, 2025.
The NSA said the move is aimed at ensuring that all diligent prospective service personnel are properly validated before the Christmas holidays, allowing them to begin the new year ready for deployment.
The Authority reminded graduates that national service remains a patriotic obligation and urged them to accept their postings and contribute meaningfully to national development across both public and private sectors. It stressed that closing the portal is crucial for finalising postings, ensuring accurate payrolls and eliminating ghost names.
The NSA reaffirmed its commitment to fairness, transparency and efficiency, and advised personnel with unresolved issues to contact the NSA Call Centre on 0554404422, 0554400078 or 0554400069, or engage through its official social media platforms.
