The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced the programme and voter identification requirements for its national conference scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026.
According to the National Officers Elections Committee (NOEC), the programme will be conducted in two main stages, beginning with constitutional amendments at exactly 9:00 a.m.
The election of national officers is expected to commence at 12:00 p.m.
Voting will take place across 31 polling stations for nine national executive positions.
The positions are National Chairman, Vice Chairman, General Secretary, National Organiser, National Women’s Organiser, National Youth Organiser, National Nasara Organiser, National Treasurer and National Communications Director.
The Electoral Commission (EC) will supervise the elections and verify all delegates before they are allowed to vote.
The NOEC said delegates must have their names on the official delegates’ register and present one valid identification document.
Accepted identification documents are a voter ID card, Ghana card, or NPP party card.
The committee has therefore urged all delegates to come along with any of the approved identification documents and arrive early enough to complete the verification process before voting begins.
In a notice addressed to all constituency, regional, and national officers as well as delegates, Chairman of the NOEC, Frederick Opare-Ansah, urged party officers to communicate the arrangements to delegates under their respective jurisdictions.
The committee said punctuality and cooperation from all participants would be essential to ensuring the orderly consideration of the constitutional amendments and the smooth conduct of the national elections.
