The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially referred petitions against its Deputy Director of Communications, Ernest Owusu Bempah, to the National Council for consideration.

In a statement signed by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the Party expressed concern over Mr. Bempah’s conduct, noting that formal petitions had been submitted by some members calling for his removal from office.

The statement explained that since Mr. Bempah’s appointment was made upon the recommendation of the National Executive Committee and later approved by the National Council, due process required that the matter be referred to the same Council for determination.

Reaffirming its commitment to fairness and discipline, the NPP assured members that the issue would be handled transparently and in line with the Party’s values.

The disciplinary action against Mr. Bempah stems from allegations that he made comments on social media which contravene party directives.
