Lead Pastor of Conquerors Chapel International in Kumasi, Prophet Emmanuel Worlasi, has predicted confusion, tension and possible violence during the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries scheduled for Saturday, January 31.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme, Prophet Worlasi claimed the election process would not be smooth, alleging that there would be hitches, unrest and even gunshots, with full results unlikely to be declared by 5pm on the day.

According to him, former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia would eventually emerge victorious, but the outcome would be contested by Kennedy Agyapong, whom he said would refuse to accept the results.

He further alleged that although Dr Bawumia would win the contest fairly, some party supporters would still accuse him of rigging the election.

“Once God has spoken through me, it will surely come to pass. By 5pm, we will not have the complete results,” he said.

“There will be hiccups, tension, riots and gunfire during the NPP primaries. It is not going to be a smooth election. However, at the end of the day, Dr Bawumia will win.

“Ken Agyapong will likely not accept the results. Even though Bawumia will win fairly, some people will believe the election was rigged,” Prophet Worlasi stated.
