NPP race: It is written, Bawumia is the chosen one – Kamal-Deen

Former Ghana Consul-General to Jeddah, Kamal-Deen Abdullai, has declared that Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is divinely ordained to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Kamal-Deen said it was evident that Dr Bawumia enjoys the strongest visibility and recognition among aspirants in the party’s upcoming internal contest.

He further stressed that the NPP has never rejected a candidate once presented by the party.

“We should be very mindful of our actions and words, as they reflect on our party. Regardless of the outcome, the winner of the election has already been chosen by God; it is a done deal. If you truly understand this party and its conservative values, you will recognise that if the winds are blowing in a particular direction and you choose to go against that, then it becomes your own problem.

“As we move forward, we must remember that God has already chosen our leader, so we should be cautious with our comments. The polls we see are misleading. We have not yet presented a candidate, and the party members have not brought him back into the race. Clearly, Dr Bawumia is in the lead; he has the strongest visibility and recognition among the aspirants in the NPP’s upcoming internal race. No matter what path you take, it is evident that Bawumia remains in the lead,” he stated.
