The Member of Parliament for Tano North, Dr. Gideon Boako, has lauded former Vice President and 2024 New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for maintaining composure amid tensions in the party’s ongoing presidential primary race.
In an interview on Thursday, January 8, Dr. Boako noted that despite facing multiple provocations, Dr. Bawumia has consistently responded with restraint. “He has been provoked several times, but he has kept his cool,” he said.
Describing Bawumia as a disciplined leader, Dr. Boako emphasized that his calm approach is key to preserving unity within the party as delegates prepare to elect the NPP’s flagbearer for the 2024 elections.
He called on party members and delegates to respect the electoral process, stressing that the focus should remain on fair competition and safeguarding the overall cohesion and success of the party.
