NPP must act fast to reposition itself – Boakye Agyarko

Former Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko has criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for moving too slowly in implementing meaningful reforms following its recent national conference.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Mr. Agyarko said he had expected “drastic changes at a faster pace” to reposition the party for future electoral success.

“If you ask me, things have not really changed in the party, and even if they have, the pace is too slow. At this point, we need a radical transformation. Our priority must be the party. Certain actions by members do not bring votes, and we must be cautious about them,” he said.

He urged members to set aside personal interests and adopt a collective approach focused on reorganizing and rebuilding the NPP.

“What is ahead of us is big. We need to focus. It’s a collective effort, not just the responsibility of one person,” Mr. Agyarko added.
