The Germany branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden passing of Ernest Yaw Kumi, the former Member of Parliament for Akwatia.
In a statement signed by its Communications Director, Nana Osei Boateng, NPP Germany described the late Kumi as a “true patriot” whose dedication, humility, and hard work left an indelible mark on both his constituency and the nation.
“His sudden departure has left a painful void not only in our party but also in the hearts of all who believed in his commitment to public service,” the statement read.
The group extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the late MP, the people of Akwatia, and the entire NPP fraternity, urging them to take solace in his legacy of service and sacrifice.
“May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may God strengthen us all as we mourn this great loss,” the statement concluded.
The late Ernest Yaw Kumi passed away after a brief illness, with tributes pouring in from across the country celebrating his contributions to Ghana’s democracy and development.
