The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will open nominations for its upcoming national executive elections from August 17 to 22, 2026.
The nomination process forms part of preparations for the national elections scheduled for October 3, 2026.
Chairman of the NPP National Executives Elections Committee, Frederick Opare Ansah, is expected to address the media at a press conference to provide updates on the electoral process and other arrangements for the polls.
The party has also announced the cost of nomination forms for the various positions.
Aspirants seeking the position of National Chairman will pay GH¢50,000 for the nomination form, while those contesting the three Vice Chairperson positions will pay GH¢30,000.
The nomination form for the position of General Secretary will cost GH¢25,000.
Forms for the other national executive positions will cost GH¢10,000, while aspirants for the National Youth Organiser and National Nasara Coordinator positions will pay GH¢8,000.
The opening of nominations will allow interested party members to formally enter the race for the various national executive positions ahead of the October 3 elections.
