The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has been recognised as the Key Government Agency that Upholds National Standards, in recognition of its unwavering commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and consumer protection within Ghana’s petroleum downstream sector.
The award was presented at the 14th AGI Ghana Industry and Quality Awards, held on Saturday at the Accra International Conference Centre.
The ceremony celebrated organisations and individuals who have demonstrated exceptional performance in promoting quality and industrial standards in Ghana.

This year’s awards were held under the theme: “Creating a Conducive Business Environment and Quality Standards for Industrial Competitiveness in a 24-Hour Economy,” highlighting the importance of adherence to standards in boosting industrial productivity and fostering consumer confidence.
The NPA was lauded for its robust regulatory frameworks and initiatives that ensure petroleum products in Ghana meet safety and quality standards. Through its oversight functions, the Authority has protected consumers and maintained integrity within the petroleum sector.
Receiving the award, NPA officials reaffirmed their commitment to upholding national standards and enhancing the efficiency of Ghana’s petroleum industry.
They also urged stakeholders across the sector to prioritise quality and compliance as a collective responsibility to achieve sustainable industrial growth.
