The campaign team of Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has reported a smooth voting process in the ongoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries, expressing confidence in a favorable outcome for their candidate.
Speaking to journalists after casting his vote, Miracles Aboagye, a senior campaign official, said he had visited his constituency and observed polling at five other locations along the way. He described the process as “straightforward” and noted that no major issues had been recorded so far.
“There surely would be minor issues that may come up, but those are things that can be resolved directly at the polling stations,” he said.
Asked about the campaign’s outlook, Aboagye remained positive but cautious. “Yes, it’s early days. At this point, you just have to make sure that every voter gets a chance to vote and then wait for the counting,” he explained.
He further expressed confidence in Dr Bawumia and the campaign team’s efforts, adding that feedback from delegates had been overwhelmingly positive. “By 3 p.m., the results should be pointing towards an absolute win for Dr Bawumia,” he said.
Voting is ongoing across NPP constituencies, with officials emphasizing the importance of ensuring a smooth, transparent, and orderly process.
