About 41,647 first-year students of public tertiary institutions in Ghana have successfully registered to benefit from the Mahama-led administration’s No-Fees-Stress policy.
In addition, 57,327 students have so far accessed the dedicated online portal.
Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, confirmed the progress in a Facebook post.
He emphasized that the registration process is a crucial step toward reimbursing students who have already paid their academic user fees.
The initiative is designed to eliminate financial barriers that prevent Ghanaian students from accessing tertiary education.
On May 12, the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) launched the registration portal as part of efforts to reimburse fees for first-year students enrolled in accredited diploma or degree programmes at public tertiary institutions for the 2024/2025 academic year.
All eligible applicants have been directed to register at https://www.nofeesstress.sltf.gov.gh or https://www.sltf.gov.gh.
The SLTF explained that the No-Fees-Stress portal offers a streamlined registration process, allowing students to easily submit their details for verification. This enables SLTF to efficiently authenticate their eligibility for support under the government’s policy.
