The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Nkwanta South in the Oti Region, Joseph Antwi Awal, has called for national unity and solidarity as the nation mourns the loss of eight individuals who tragically died in a helicopter crash. These individuals dedicated their lives to serving the country and its people.

Speaking during a memorial service organized by the Nkwanta South Muslim community in honor of the fallen heroes, the MCE emphasized the importance of coming together as a nation during this challenging time.

“We must unite in our grief and remember the sacrifices made by these individuals. They were not just professional heroes; they were pillars of our community and nation,” he stated.

The MCE urged all Ghanaian citizens to reflect on the values of courage, service, and commitment that these heroes embodied.

During the memorial service, he acknowledged the significance of prayers during times of sorrow, highlighting how faith can be a source of strength.

“Let us all join in prayer, regardless of our religious affiliations, to honor the memories of those we have lost,” he said.

In an age where social media significantly influences public discourse, Joseph Antwi advised users to be mindful of their posts during this sensitive period.

He urged social media users to uplift one another and share messages of hope and unity, rather than spreading negativity or misinformation.

Additionally, the MCE called on Ghanaians to support President John Dramani Mahama as he navigates this difficult moment and works on the resetting agenda to improve the lives of Ghanaians.
