The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Nkwanta North, Issiah Dordoe, has urged residents and traditional leaders to actively engage in peace-building efforts as a foundation for sustainable development.
Speaking at the Gulf of Guinea Northern Social Cohesion (SOCO) inter-cluster soccer games in Sibi Central, Mr. Dordoe emphasized that peace goes beyond the absence of conflict—it requires deliberate efforts to create an environment conducive to growth and progress.
He highlighted the essential role of chiefs in fostering unity, resolving disputes, and encouraging dialogue to drive community development. According to the DCE, issues such as poverty, unemployment, and poor infrastructure can only be addressed when communities work together in harmony.
Mr. Dordoe called on residents to support initiatives that promote social cohesion and collective problem-solving.
Supporting his remarks, the Chief of Sibi Central, Ubor Mbabilla Lachuul II, also appealed for urgent attention to clean water supply, improved healthcare, and better road infrastructure to remove key barriers to development.
