The Chief of Nkaseim, Nana Danso Adjei Ababio, has expressed deep concern over the growing presence of prostitution hubs in the community and is calling on the Asutifi South District Assembly to take immediate action.
Speaking at a town hall meeting organised by the Assembly in Nkaseim, Nana Adjei Ababio alleged that a man had brought in prostitutes—predominantly Nigerians—into the town. He described the development as a serious threat to the moral fabric and reputation of the community.
He appealed to the District Chief Executive (DCE), Benjamin Assabil Donkor, and his team to swiftly intervene and dismantle these hubs, which he said were tarnishing Nkaseim’s image in the Ahafo Region.
In response, Mr. Donkor assured the chief and residents that the Assembly would establish a task force to address the issue.
He noted that all identified prostitution hubs in Nkaseim and other parts of the district would be shut down as part of efforts to curb social vices and protect residents’ well-being.
The DCE reiterated the Assembly’s commitment to restoring law and order and ensuring that such activities do not gain a foothold in the district.
