Former Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey has criticised the management of Eleven Wonders over the alleged mistreatment of players.

The promoted Ghana Premier League side has faced scrutiny after former coach J.E. Sarpong revealed that players were not being properly fed and were owed salaries.

Odartey Lamptey, who was appointed head coach following the club’s return to the top flight, parted ways with Eleven Wonders after a disappointing start to the 2025/26 season, leaving the team without a win after nine games.

Speaking in an interview with Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, Odartey Lamptey expressed frustration with the club’s leadership.

“I just hope that things will change at the club because the handlers of the team, someone is a Member of Parliament, and someone else is also serving as a Member of the Council of State, so why should this be happening?” he questioned.

“Sometimes, I ask myself questions because if you cannot manage 30 players, then I am sorry. I am an illiterate, and I have over 60 players I am managing at my academy. So if an illiterate can do that, how much more people like you?” he added.

Eleven Wonders remain at the bottom of the league table with three points from 11 matches and will face Dreams FC in their Matchday 12 clash at the University of Ghana Stadium.
