Telecommunication companies across Ghana, effective today, July 1, 2025, have begun implementing the government-mandated increment in data bundle offers.

The new structure provides customers with a 10 to 15% increase in data volumes, following 14 days of deliberations by a committee that developed a comprehensive roadmap.

Under the revised pricing structure, mobile network operators MTN, Telecel, and AT have adjusted their data plans:

  • AT and Telecel have increased data volumes by 10% across all bundles.

  • MTN has raised its data allocations by 15%.

High-tier packages have seen the most significant changes:

  • AT’s GH₵400 plan now offers 236GB, up from 195GB.

  • Telecel’s GH₵400 bundle has surged to 250GB, a sharp rise from the previous 90GB.

  • MTN has reintroduced its GH₵399 package, now offering 214GB, compared to 92.88GB under the previous GH₵350 plan.

Meanwhile, the Minister for Communications and Digitalisation, Sam George, has tasked the National Communications Authority (NCA) with ensuring full compliance.

Mr. George has cautioned that telecom operators who fail to adjust their bundles in line with the directive will face sanctions.
