The Member of Parliament for New Edubiase, Abdul Salam Adams, has cut sod for the construction of a three-unit classroom block for Fahiakobo D/A Basic School, as well as six-seater W/C toilet facilities for Apagya D/A Basic School and Atobiase R/C Basic School.

The project, being undertaken in collaboration with the Adansi South District Assembly, forms part of efforts to improve school infrastructure across the constituency.

It also includes the rehabilitation of New Edubiase JHS ‘B’ and other schools within the Adansi South District in the Ashanti Region to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.

Speaking to Adom News, the MP noted that the poor condition and general physical state of some school facilities in the constituency do not support effective teaching and learning.

He explained that infrastructure at New Edubiase JHS ‘B’ has seen little improvement since his own time as a student, stressing that the situation must change.

He further urged parents to prioritise basic education for their children in order to secure better future opportunities.

For his part, the District Chief Executive for Adansi South, Oheneba Kwabena Ando, said the district will construct modern six-seater W/C toilet facilities for Apagya D/A and Atobiase R/C Basic Schools.

He added that the Fahiakobo project will comprise a three-unit classroom block, a headmaster’s office, a staff common room, and storage facilities.
