New Apostolic Church–Sunyani District intensifies efforts to combat youth social vices

-

The New Apostolic Church – Sunyani Area has intensified its efforts to fight social vices among the youth as part of its mission to safeguard the nation.

Apostle Patrick Konadu Yiadom, Head of the Sunyani Area, made the remarks during the New Apostolic Youth Conference held in Tepa, which brought together youth from 10 districts, including Mim, Kukuom, Sunyani, Nsuatre, Dormaa, Drobo, Goaso, Fosukrom, Tepa, and Duayaw Nkwanta.

Speaking to Adom News, Apostle Yiadom said the church is concerned about the rising number of young people involved in social vices.

“We are inviting resource persons to educate our youth on the dangers of drug abuse, alcoholism, and the use of insults on social media, among other issues,” he explained.

He added that, beyond protecting church members, the church also runs outreach programs targeting young people who are already engaged in these vices, particularly drug abuse.

Echoing these concerns, Pastor Boakye Ansah, Rector for the Tepa District, highlighted that drug abuse among youth poses a serious threat to the country.

He stressed that the church is committed to doing everything possible to curb this menace and protect the nation.
