NDC embarking on ‘Metro Mass Unity Walk’ – Abronye

-

The Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe Agyei known in political circles as Abronye DC has described the unity walk being organized by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) across the country as a ‘metro mass unity walk’.
The description, he said, is as a result of the fact that the party led by former President John Dramani Mahama has been transporting people from one point to the other to partake in the walk which has become a mini campaign for the ex-President.
“The NDC has been transporting people in Metro Mass Buses (MMT) to partake in their unity walks, they did that in 2016 and are still doing it now…,” he said on Adom FM’s Morning Show, ‘Dwaso Nsem’ on Monday.
The NDC over the weekend embarked on a unity walk in the Brong Ahafo Regional town of Techiman.
Media reports indicate that a teeming crowd of NDC members attended the party’s 5th Unity Walk session.
Several party functionaries led by ex-President John Mahama attended the event which has been touted as one of the most successful gatherings of the NDC in recent times.
But Abronye believes the walk was a success because the NDC transported people to the venue.
According to him, the NDC transported people in MMT Buses from Kumasi and Tamale to the venue.
“Ask them why Techiman was the venue that they chose…it is because it easier to get to Techiman from Kumasi and Tamale than any other town in the region. 15 buses full of people came to Techiman from Kumasi for the walk. And 10 buses were brought from Tamale too…,” he said.
This, he said, has been the tactics of the NDC and hence he is not shocked at all.
“They bused people in 2016 and still lost. They can continually be busing people here and there but who cares, the figures from the 2020 elections would expose them…,” he added.
