Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle Constituency, Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, has said the massive voter turnout of her party’s members for the ongoing presidential primaries is an indication of optimism ahead of the 2020 general elections.

According to her, one of the unfortunate events that swept NDC into opposition in the 2016 elections was the fact that a lot of party members including executives failed to cast their votes.

She also commended the Electoral Commission and other party members who may not be necessarily delegates for the peaceful nature of the ongoing process.

The daughter of ex-President Jerry John Rawlings failed to disclose which of the aspirants she would want to win the race.

On the issue of names that were missing in the voters’ register at the constituency, she urged affected voters to remain calm as she works with the Electoral Commission to resolve the matter amicably.
