The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Augustus Nana Akwasi Andrews, has called for greater recognition of the party’s youth who played active roles during the 2024 election campaign.
He noted that many young supporters worked tirelessly to promote the party’s message across constituencies and therefore deserve consideration in national opportunities.
Speaking on the ongoing security service recruitment process, Nana Akwasi expressed disappointment that many of these youth have reportedly been disqualified.
He urged party leaders to ensure that qualified young members are given fair consideration during the second phase of the recruitment exercise.
Nana Akwasi emphasised that acknowledging the sacrifices of party youth would help maintain their commitment and morale within the party.
