Nations FC head coach, Kasim Mingle, has set his sights on the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League title, insisting that the clubโs ultimate goal this season is to be crowned champions.
The Abrankese-based side began their campaign with a hard-fought 2-1 comeback victory over newly-promoted Swedru All Blacks at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Stadium last weekend.
Reflecting on the win, Mingle emphasized that his team is not in the league to make up the numbers but to challenge for glory.
โWe are preparing to go for the ultimate. No one comes to fight to say Iโm going to lose. Itโs the title every team is playing for,โ he told reporters.
โWe are not playing for playingโs sake. We are targeting the ultimate,โ he added.
Nations FC will aim to build on their opening-day triumph when they face Aduana FC in Matchday 2 at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.
