The National Recreation and Wellness Program (NaRWP) has joined forces with the Parliamentary Training Institute (PTI) to promote healthy living through a three-day aerobics program at AQUA Safari in Ada.

Dubbed “Active Today, Healthier Tomorrow,” the initiative is a strategic national intervention aimed at encouraging active lifestyles and preventive health.

The program places special focus on combating diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and other lifestyle-related conditions.

It aligns with Ghana’s broader health agenda, which emphasizes regular exercise, balanced nutrition, reduction of tobacco and alcohol use, and routine medical check-ups.

Hon. Betty Krobsbi Mensah, National Coordinator for NaRWP, expressed her excitement ahead of the launch, saying, “We’re thrilled to introduce this program, which is designed to inspire everyone to embrace active living as part of their daily routine.”

Wing Commander Frederick (Rtd), Principal Marshal of the Parliament of Ghana, also praised the initiative.

“As a representative of the Parliamentary Service, I recognize the vital role of exercise in promoting long and healthy lives. This program is a game-changer, and I commend the NaRWP team for their commitment to this important cause,” he said.

The three-day aerobics program has already attracted significant participation, with members of the Parliamentary Training Institute, the NaRWP team, and visitors from local hotels joining the sessions.

NaRWP urges all Ghanaians to take part, adopt active lifestyles, and contribute to building a healthier, happier society.
