The National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, has formally announced his decision to contest for the position of First National Vice Chairman.

In doing so, he confirmed that he will not seek re-election as National Organiser, signaling a transition to a new phase of leadership within the party’s national executive structure.

Nana B previously served as National Youth Organiser before winning the National Organiser slot at the NPP National Delegates Conference in Accra in July 2022. During his tenure, he led nationwide mobilization initiatives and coordinated party activities across all regions.

Many political observers view his bid for First National Vice Chairmanship as a strategic move to leverage his grassroots organizing experience and national leadership exposure in higher-level decision-making. The aim, they say, is to strengthen internal cohesion and position the party for future elections.

His entry into the race is expected to heighten interest and competition as the NPP prepares for internal executive elections and broader restructuring ahead of the upcoming national polls.
