NAGRAT joins national mourning for helicopter crash victims

The National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) has expressed deep sadness and solidarity with the nation following the helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight distinguished individuals, including senior government officials and military officers.

In a statement released on Thursday, NAGRAT extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the government and the people of Ghana.

The association further prayed that the Angels of God receive their souls and present them to God Most High, while requesting strength for the bereaved families.

The victims of the crash, which occurred in the Ashanti Region on Wednesday, included Defence Minister Dr Edward Omane Boamah, Environment Minister Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Deputy National Security Coordinator Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, NDC Vice Chairman Dr Samuel Sarpong, and former Obuasi East parliamentary candidate Mr Samuel Aboagye.

The Ghana Armed Forces(GAF) also lost three of its dedicated personnel: Squadron Leader Peter Baafemi Anala, Flying Officer Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah, who were onboard the Z-9 helicopter.
