NAG Fairmont worker arrested for allegedly stealing 29 gallons of fuel

A military officer has arrested a worker of NAG Fairmont Construction for allegedly possessing 29 “Kufuor” gallons of stolen fuel at Gomoa Buduatta in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.

NAG Fairmont is the contractor in charge of the dualization of the Kasoa–Winneba Highway, with the fuel reportedly meant for tipper trucks working on the project.

In an interview with Adom News, the military officer — who spoke on condition of anonymity — recounted that he was making a phone call when he noticed two individuals riding in an aboboyaa (motorized tricycle).

The officer said he confronted the suspects, who failed to provide any explanation for the fuel in their possession. During interrogation, one of them reportedly confessed to stealing it from the company.

The officer subsequently apprehended the duo and handed them over to the Gomoa Dominase District Police Command for further investigation and possible prosecution.
