Musician and media personality Mzbel, known in private life as Nana Ekua Amoah, has dismissed claims circulating on social media that Prophet Fire Oja was never arrested following a recent controversy involving her.

In a statement, Mzbel clarified that Prophet Fire Oja was formally invited, arrested, and interrogated by the Ghana Police Service over what she described as false and damaging statements he made against her.

She explained that the pastor had publicly claimed she was seriously ill and hospitalised after an alleged failed “soul travel,” coupled with threats and attacks on her integrity and mental well-being.

“For the avoidance of doubt, Prophet Fire Oja was invited by the police, arrested, and interrogated for 48 hours,” she said, adding that during the interrogation, he admitted he did not know her personally and acknowledged that his actions were wrong.

According to Mzbel, the pastor has since been charged, and the matter is being processed for court. He was granted bail in line with police procedures and is expected to appear in court when scheduled.

Mzbel stressed that her decision to report the matter was not motivated by malice but by the need to protect her name, integrity, and mental well-being, emphasising that every citizen has the right to seek justice.

She also reminded the public that the Ghana Police Service exists to protect all citizens, regardless of status or influence, and commended the Service for its professionalism.

“Justice is not a privilege; it is a right,” she said, thanking the public for standing for truth and accountability.
