Highlife musician Akwaboah Jnr has credited his father’s guidance and training as a key influence in shaping his music career.
Speaking on Adom FM’s Work and Happiness show, he explained that his father exposed him to both local and international music, helping him grasp the depth and intricacies of sound.
According to Akwaboah, this early exposure laid the foundation for creating timeless music that resonates across generations.
“My dad’s gift to me is worth more than luxury or money. He introduced me to particular songs and had incredible insight into music. We listened to a mix of contemporary and traditional tunes, both local and international.
“He helped me understand the details of music, so I grew up immersed in it and learned how it works. I discovered how to mix, match, and produce quality tunes. As a result, I know how to blend the right sounds that appeal to the audience and create lasting music,” he stated.
