The Executive Secretary to the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam’s Office has advised the Muslim youth to uphold peace before, during, and after the Ramadan festivities.

According to Alhaji Ustaz Ahmed Seidu, the leadership of the Muslim community is optimistic about a peaceful, violence-free, and accident-free Ramadan period across the Ashanti Region.

He spoke in an interview with Adom News during a donation exercise by the Assembly Member for Manso Takorase, Dominic Bonsu, who presented assorted items to support Muslims in their observance of the holy month.

Alhaji Seidu noted that the leadership had engaged the youth in extensive discussions ahead of this year’s Ramadan to ensure discipline and peaceful conduct.

“We have advised them to abstain from all forms of violence, including reckless motor riding and activities that could lead to accidents, in order to ensure a peaceful Ramadan celebration,” he stated.

Dominic Bonsu also called on the Muslim community to offer prayers for the peace, unity, and development of Ghana.

He explained that his gesture was motivated by the significant role many Muslims have played in his personal and professional life.

“We are one people, and it is important that we promote and maintain peace before, during, and after Ramadan,” he emphasised.

The items included bags of rice, boxes of assorted drinks and bags of sugar.
