Firefighters from the Madina, National Headquarters, and Legon fire stations have been quickly deployed to the scene to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading.
Eyewitnesses reported that thick smoke and flames engulfed the market, forcing traders and residents to flee for safety.
While some attempted to salvage their goods, many watched helplessly as the fire consumed their wares.
The cause of the outbreak is yet to be determined.
This marks the third fire outbreak in the Madina area within the past two months; two at the Ritz Junction market and another at the Redco section.
