The Movement for Change has expressed its heartfelt condolences to His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu Ababio I, the Royal Family, and the people of Asanteman on the passing of the Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom I.
The late Asantehemaa was more than a mother to Asanteman; she was a beacon of guidance for the entire nation.
Her reign was marked by wisdom, dignity, and a steadfast commitment to unity, peace, and the preservation of treasured traditions.
In a statement signed by Solomon Owusu, Spokesperson for the Movement for Change, it was noted that through her wise counsel and unwavering leadership, she fostered stronger bonds of kinship and harmony within the Kingdom and throughout Ghana.
Her departure is a profound loss not only to Asanteman but to the whole nation.
“The Movement for Change joins you in mourning during this difficult time and calls for calm, reflection, and the sustaining grace of the Almighty upon our nation, especially amid the other recent tragic events we face,” the statement concluded.
