Movement for Change mourns Akwatia MP Ernest Yaw Kumi

The Movement for Change has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden death of Ernest Yaw Kumi, Member of Parliament for Akwatia and a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In a statement signed by its spokesperson, Andrew Appiah-Danquah, the group described the late MP as “a vibrant and promising public servant” whose life held great potential for Ghana’s progress.

“Hon. Ernest Kumi was a bright light in our political landscape, a young man whose energy, dedication, and sense of purpose offered hope not only to the people of Akwatia but to the entire country,” the statement read.

The group extended its heartfelt condolences to the family of the late MP, assuring them of their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

“May Hon. Ernest Kumi’s soul rest in perfect peace, and may his legacy inspire all of us to live lives of purpose and service,” it added.

Mr. Kumi’s sudden passing at the age of 40 has sent shockwaves through the political community, with tributes pouring in from colleagues and citizens alike.
