A motorcyclist has died in a horrific crash on the N6 Highway, along the Accra–Amasaman stretch near Taifa Junction, in the early hours of Thursday, August 14, 2025.
Eyewitnesses say the tragic incident occurred on the curve around St. James, when a truck ran over the rider, leaving him with fatal injuries.
The impact was so severe that the motorcycle was mangled into a twisted heap of metal.
Details of what led to the crash remain unclear, but drivers familiar with the area say the curve at St. James is notoriously dangerous, especially for smaller vehicles and motorcycles trying to maneuver alongside heavy-duty trucks.
Police cordoned off the area to secure the scene but later reopened it to traffic.
The deceased’s body has since been retrieved and transported to the mortuary.
