Residents of Kpale-Xorse, a farming community in the Ho West District of the Volta Region, have been thrown into mourning after a man who went missing on his farm on Monday, September 1, 2025, was found dead the following evening.
His body was discovered partially buried in a shallow stream behind his farmland.
The deceased, identified as Mr. Adovor Kodzo Delali, believed to be in his 50s and married with four children, reportedly did not return home after leaving for his farm, prompting family members and neighbours to organize a search.
The search party eventually located him in the stream, where bloodstains were observed on the farm, raising suspicion of foul play.
Mr. Divin Tutu, Assembly Member for the area, along with community leaders, notified the police, who visited the scene to commence investigations.
The body has since been retrieved and deposited at the Ho Teaching Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Rev. Gideon Mortey, associated Pastor of Christ Apostolic Church and resident of Kpale-Xorse, expressed concern over the circumstances surrounding the death. He called on security agencies to intensify patrols in the area to ensure the safety of farmers.
The tragic incident has cast a cloud of grief over the community as family and friends mourn the sudden loss.
