Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has declared that Ghana’s economic gains in the first half of 2025 mark the beginning of a broader national transformation.
Presenting the 2025 Mid-Year Budget Review to Parliament, Dr. Forson said the progress achieved so far reflects sound leadership, disciplined economic management, and a renewed sense of hope for the country.
“This is a story of sound leadership, better economic management, and the restoration of hope to a nation once in despair. The gains of this first six months are just the beginning,” he told lawmakers.
He stressed that government’s priority is not just to manage economic distress, but to decisively reverse it and chart a course for sustainable recovery.
“We have moved from promises to purpose, and from distress to relief,” Dr. Forson stated.
He also expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for their trust and sacrifices, assuring them that the government remains committed to delivering lasting improvements.
“The road ahead is long, but our direction is clearer, and the national spirit has been lifted,” he concluded.
