Mfantseman-Saltpond Alliance demands job quota from Atlantic Lithium

The Mfantseman-Saltpond Alliance Foundation has vowed to press for a dedicated employment quota from Atlantic Lithium Company to benefit the youth of the Mfantseman Municipality.

Founder and leader Ernest De-Graft Egyir said the foundation is committed to working with chiefs, the municipal assembly, opinion leaders, and government officials to secure job opportunities and drive development in the area.

He announced that the alliance will create a resource map and a seven-year development plan to guide growth in the municipality.

Speaking at the official launch of the foundation, the leadership pledged to organise a “Homecoming” event dubbed Salpond Fest to foster unity and development.

The group lamented that the municipality has seen little benefit from the Saltpond Oil Rig, noting that no scholarships have been provided to local youth to support their education.

Mr Egyir said the alliance will ensure a united front in advocating for opportunities and resources to improve livelihoods.
