Medeama SC coach, Ibrahim Tanko, has revealed that the club’s leadership will hold discussions with players following the team’s recent dip in form.
The Tarkwa-based side has gone five matches without a victory in the ongoing Ghana Premier League 2025/26 season. Their struggles continued on Matchday 25 when Medeama suffered a 2–1 defeat to Hohoe United at the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium on Sunday.
Despite the setback, Medeama remain top of the table with a one-point lead after second-placed Bibiani Gold Stars also lost to Young Apostles FC.
Reacting after the game, Tanko admitted it was simply one of those days where nothing went right for his side.
“I have been in this game for a long time, and this kind of day happens sometimes. It’s not normal that you miss a penalty, concede a goal, and also score an own goal. In such situations, it becomes very difficult to win,” he told the club’s media team.
The former Ghana national team forward added that discussions with the squad will be necessary as they look to turn their form around.
“We still have nine games to play. I think I have to meet with the players and then see the way forward,” Tanko said.
Medeama will aim to end their winless run when they travel to face Dreams FC in the Matchday 26 fixture at the Tuba Astro Turf.
