Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has expressed satisfaction after his side played to a goalless draw against FC Samartex on Matchday 23 of the Ghana Premier League.

The league leaders were held at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Sunday in a tightly contested game that saw both sides create chances but fail to find the net.

Tanko praised his team’s performance despite missing the opportunity to extend their lead at the top.

“It was a very good game. We had chances in the first half and couldn’t convert them. The second half was tough, but I’m happy to secure a point away,” he said.

Medeama remain top of the table with 45 points, though the gap is narrowing as Bibiani Goldstars climb to second with 42 points.

All eyes now turn to Matchday 24, where Medeama will host Swedru All Blacks at the Swedru Stadium, while Samartex travel to face Hohoe United as the title race heats up.
