Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko expects a tough contest when his side faces Asante Kotoko on Sunday but believes his team has what it takes to make the difference at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The Yellow and Mauve head into the Matchday 12 fixture on an eight-match unbeaten run, a streak Tanko says will be tested by a Kotoko side that remains dangerous, particularly at home.

“We are eight games unbeaten now, but I know against Kotoko, it is going to be a different game altogether. Definitely, we will get our chances, and I hope that the strikers will be more clinical this time and score the goals,” he said.

Tanko anticipates a high-quality encounter between two well-balanced teams, noting that the margins could be slim.

“I think it is going to be a very good game because both clubs have very good teams,” he added.

Only two points separate the sides on the league table, with Medeama sitting third on 22 points and Kotoko fourth with 20.

Kick-off for the eagerly awaited clash is set for 16:00 GMT.
