A building collapse at Kasoa New Market in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region has trapped a mason under the rubble and fighting for survival.
Emergency response teams, including personnel from the Ghana Police Service, Ghana National Fire Service, NADMO, and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), are currently at the scene working to rescue the trapped individual.
Eyewitnesses told Adom News that the structure came down suddenly, sending debris flying and creating panic among traders and residents in the busy market area.
The cause of the collapse is not yet known, but officials have launched an investigation to determine what led to the incident.
Rescue operations are ongoing, with authorities racing against time to ensure the safety of the victim.
