Manchester City are reportedly considering triggering Antoine Semenyo’s £65 million release clause in the January transfer window.

The Ghana international has been the subject of growing speculation over a mid-season move from Bournemouth, with Premier League clubs reportedly aware of his desire for a fresh challenge as early as January 2026.

At 25, Semenyo has attracted interest from overseas, but sources suggest he prefers to remain in England, with Manchester City, Chelsea, and Liverpool all closely monitoring one of the league’s most feared attacking talents.

City, in particular, are in urgent need of attacking reinforcements as they look to keep pace with Arsenal in the title race. Since the start of the season, the club has relied heavily on Erling Haaland to find the net, highlighting the need for additional firepower.

On Tuesday night, Manchester City secured a thrilling 5-4 victory over Fulham, while Semenyo’s Bournemouth side fell 1-0 to Everton.

This season, Semenyo has scored six goals and provided three assists for the Cherries and is expected to feature when Bournemouth host Chelsea at the Vitality Stadium.
