The Accra Regional Police Command has arrested a man who threatened in a viral video to shoot any police officer he encounters.
In a statement, the Police identified the suspect as 32-year-old Israel Agbo Forson.
According to the Police, Forson, a filmmaker residing in North Legon, was arrested during an intelligence-led operation on Sunday, June 23, 2025.
He is currently on police enquiry bail and is assisting with investigations.
The statement strongly condemned the act, describing it as not only unlawful but also a serious threat to public peace and the authority of the police.
“The Ghana Police Service once again condemns in the strongest terms acts of incitement, threats, and obstruction against law enforcement officers. Such conduct is not only unlawful but also undermines public peace and the authority of the Police,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, the Police reaffirmed its commitment to upholding law and order and warned that it will not hesitate to bring anyone who engages in criminal behaviour to justice.
