The Ghana Police Service has arrested a young man, Christopher Saigoe, for the unlawful possession of substances suspected to be narcotic drugs at Nkurakan in the Eastern Region.
He was arrested on June 17, 2025, after the Police intercepted a Sprinter Benz bus with registration number AS 1933-21, which he was driving.
A search of the vehicle revealed five sacks of maize, within which 78 oval-shaped, sellotaped balls of plant material suspected to be Indian hemp were concealed.
The suspect is currently in police custody assisting with investigations and is expected to be arraigned before court soon.
