A 40-year-old man, Christopher Kabore, has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife, 31-year-old Nadeye Kasore, at Sefwi Saa Kwasikrom near Bonsu Nkwanta–Nkyesenkokoo in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region.
The incident is reported to have occurred on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, following a domestic dispute. Preliminary police information indicates that the suspect allegedly inflicted multiple wounds on his wife and later slashed her throat after accusing her of refusing to have sexual relations with him for about four months. He also reportedly suspected her of infidelity.
After the alleged attack, Kabore is said to have attempted to take his own life but was unsuccessful. He was later arrested and is currently in police custody at Juaboso, assisting with investigations.
Police sources revealed that the body of the deceased was initially buried but was exhumed on the orders of the police on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. The body has since been deposited at the Juaboso Government Hospital mortuary for preservation and further forensic examination.
The couple are believed to be nationals of Burkina Faso. They are farmers and are said to have lived in the area for more than three years.
The Juaboso District Police Command has commenced full investigations into the incident and has assured the public that the suspect will be arraigned before the Juaboso Magistrate’s Court to face justice.
